From the Bridge

Welcome from beautiful Tilghman Island, on Maryland's Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay.

Thank you for visiting our site. We hope you’ll find time to come see us. If you are thinking about a waterfront community with good access to the Chesapeake Bay, you won’t be disappointed. Everyone that visits comments on what a beautiful spot this is. And it is a fantastic boating location. Our homeowners love it.

What a Year

Autumn of 2007! We got our new section (Phase IV) started, and have added some new homes and folks to our beautiful community. The weather was extremely good, albeit we had a little drought. The community has never looked better. Residents here take so much pride in their homes and lawns, that it is always a treat just to drive through and look.

The pool remained open until the end of September. I had a boating visitor to the marina remark that "This is the only place that we've ever been that looks like the picture." If you haven't seen our lovely island, you will be impressed.

We totally remodeled the yacht club and heads this year, and the pool was drained and totally redone at the end of October-Like new, Wow!

The boating was superb this year as well. The drought meant more great days and our sailors and power boaters.

Fishing was a good as I ever remember. Huge Stripers (Rockfish) appeared in late April, and it was a rare day that one of our folks didn't bring in a fish over 20 lbs. in the Spring season. Smaller stripers ensued, and bottom fishing was fantastic; large white perch, and big Croakers. Bluefish to about 4 lbs. arrived in late Summer. For almost 2 months, we caught Spot, and live lined them to Stripers. Just about everyone got their limit every trip, with fish in the 24' range. There were loads of nice breaking blues, mixed in with small and some keeper stripers, well into the Fall season.

Crabbing was pretty good for most of the season, but is excellent in the fall. The biggest crabs of the year. Many of our boaters catch them right at the dock.

All in all, another great year in paradise. We hope to see you soon.
